US lifts ban on imports of latest Apple watch

Apple's latest smart watches can resume being sold in the US after the tech company filed an emergency appeal with authorities. Sales of the Series 9 and Ultra 2 watches had been halted in the US over a patent row. The US's trade body had barred imports and sales of Apple watches.

Amazon Prime Video to have ads in UK from February

Amazon is set to introduce adverts to its Prime Video streaming service from 5 February 2024. Customers in the UK and Germany will see "limited" ads unless they pay £2.99 per month to remove them. Rivals such as Disney+ and Netflix introduced cheaper ad-supported memberships.

Teenager becomes first person to 'beat' Tetris

Willie Gibson posted a video on YouTube which shows the moment when the classic video game crashes as he reaches level 157. It took the teenager, who goes by the name blue scuti on YouTube, just 38 minutes to cause the game to crash - which has never been done by a human.

SpaceX launches first T-Mobile direct-to-cell satellites

It was revealed last year that Starlink would begin offering SMS solutions in partnership with TMobile in 2024, with voice, data and IoT services to follow in 2025. T-Mobile will allow Starlink to use its 5G spectrum, while gaining access to the Starlink network, thus securing near ubiquitous coverage in the United States. Microsoft is adding its AI Copilot to Windows keyboards
