Research from Orange Cyberdefense, Europe’s largest managed security services provider, reveals that there has been a 13% increase in cyberattacks on enterprises over the past 12 months, with a rise in ransomware incidents and, for the first time, a noticeable wave of attacks against mobile devices.

milton keynes to hold large-scale driverless car trial

The Fetch car system, backed by the government and Milton Keynes Council, will allow people to order a car through an app. The car, which is remotely controlled by an operator, will then be delivered to them.

china mobile shares rise in shanghai debut after us exit

China Mobile shares have risen as they started trading in Shanghai after raising $7.7bn in China's biggest public offering in a decade. The shares opened 9.4% higher before ending the day just 0.5% higher.

vodafone unveils services in oman

Vodafone has announced a strategic partnership with Oman Future Telecommunications to develop its 5G network and bring cloud services to the country. While the deal was first announced in 2019, it took another year for Vodafone to receive formal approval to operate in the country.

t-mobile, crown castle ink new long-term tower and small cell deal

Under the terms of the deal T-Mobile will have increased access to Crown Castle's towers and small cell locations, enabling the T-Mobile to bolster the reach of its 5G. Both companies have signed a new 12-year agreement to support the build-out of T-Mobile's US 5G network.

nft marketplace opensea valued at more than $13bn

An online marketplace OpenSea says it is now worth $13.3bn (£9.8bn) following a new investment of $300m. The platform enables trade in NFTs (non-fungible tokens), unique pieces of digital code that can be associated with a digital asset such as a work of digital art.
