tesla delivers record number of cars despite challenges

Tesla says it delivered a record number of its cars in the first quarter, despite supply chain challenges. The electric carmaker says it delivered more than 310,000 vehicles in the first three months of this year. That was almost 70% higher than for the same time last year.

zain group connect launches j2m subsea cable

The J2M system connect Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Marseille, France and marks ZGC’s first subsea cable ownership, which forms a portion of the Pakistan and East Africa Connecting Europe (PEACE) cable system. The new cable will give Zain full operational independence in order to facilitate digital transformation initiatives across the region, particularly for cloud and IoT services.

the works forced to shut some shops after cyber-attack

The Works has been forced to shut shops temporarily and suspend new stock deliveries after a cyber-attack. The retailer said five of its 526 shops have been closed since last week after hackers gained access to its computer systems and caused issues with its tills.

talktalk expands wholesale role with virtual1 takeover

UK telco TalkTalk is continuing its transformation into a wholesale company by buying Ethernet specialist Virtual1. TalkTalk’s move comes a year after it opted out of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) business by selling its FibreNation unit to rival UK operator CityFibre. The Virtual1 acquisition, which has not been priced, gives TalkTalk a 25% share of the Ethernet access direct (EAD) market in the UK.
