china telecom must quit us by early January after appeal fails

China Telecom must cease all operations in the US by early January, after it lost a bid to appeal against revocation of its licence.The company had applied to the US Court of Appeals for the District Columbia against a decision in October by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to cancel its 20-year-old licence to operate in US territory.

swisscom offers free surfing on trains to its postpaid and prepaid cusotmers

SPAR: SUPERMARKET CHAIN FORCED TO CLOSE ITS STORES DUE TO CYBER ATTACK

The supermarket chain SPAR has been forced to close a number of stores following a cyber attack. The spokesperson explained that the cyber attack had impacted all of the company's IT systems and left staff without access to emails.

A new study from Juniper Research has found that the total value of mobile money transactions in emerging markets will exceed $870 billion in 2026, up from $555 billion in 2021; representing growth of almost 60%.

amazon fined $1.2bn by italian regulators

Amazon has been fined $1.2bn by Italy's anti-trust regulator. It said the tech giant had abused its market dominance by promoting its own logistics service, Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA).
