YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki is stepping down after nine years in the role. In a blog post, she said she had "decided to start a new chapter focused on my family, health and personal projects I'm passionate about." YouTube's chief product officer, Neal Mohan, will take over as head of the Google-owned video platform.

Instagram and Facebook to get paid-for verification

Instagram and Facebook users will now be able to pay for a blue tick verification, parent company Meta has announced. Meta Verified will cost $11.99 (£9.96) a month on web, or $14.99 for iPhone users. It will be available in Australia and New Zealand this week.

PDG reveals plans for Indonesian data centre

Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has unveiled plans for a 96MW data centre campus in Batam. PDG’s SG+ strategy will allow customers to expand their infrastructure from Singapore to highly scalable data centre campuses in Singapore, Batam (Indonesia) and Johor (Malaysia).

Vodafone expands messaging partnership with Google

Vodafone will expand its European collaboration with Google in mobile messaging services, Pixel devices and its own TV platform. The agreement between the two will enable Vodafone customers to enjoy new messaging experiences through the adoption of Google Jibe Cloud to power Vodafone’s use of Rich Communication Services (RCS).

Quantums in motion with £42m of new investment

Quantum Motion, a UK-based quantum computing scale-up led by academics from UCL and Oxford University, has raised over £42 million in equity funding. The funders, described as some of the world’s leading quantum and technology investors, include Robert Bosch Venture Capital and joined by Porsche SE and British Patient Capital.
