X begins charging users $1 a year in New Zealand, Philippines

Elon Musk's X, has started charging new users in New Zealand and the Philippines $1 (£0.82) a year to access key features, as part of a new trial. They include the ability to tweet, retweet, like posts and reply to posts.

Orange and EXA hook up new transatlantic subsea cables

Orange has switched on a new subsea cable connecting the US, UK and France called AMITIE, while EXA has laid down a fifth transatlantic route to its portfolio. Orange’s new transatlantic route is now ready for service, after almost four years of presumably quite damp installation work.

EU hands over €130 million for 6G research
