Snapchat: Snap AI chatbot 'may risk children's privacy'

Snapchat has been accused of a "worrying failure" to assess the potential privacy risks its AI chatbot poses to users - especially children. The Information Commissioner's Office warned it could close down the My AI feature in the UK after a "preliminary investigation".

UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, US sign telecoms pact

Five countries have issued a statement of intent to foster greater collaboration on telecoms matters, the main areas of which appear to be Open RAN, 6G, and China related security concerns. The goal of the collaboration is to make sure the included countries are on the same page with policies relating to current and future telecoms technology.

Nearly half a billion small tech items thrown away

Nearly half a billion small electricals such as cables, lights, mini fans and disposable vapes, were thrown away last year, research from Material Focus has shown. These "Fast Tech" items, the electrical version of fast fashion, are the fastest-growing e-waste type, it says.

Spain launches €544 million rural 5G SA tender
