Designers sue Shein over AI ripoffs of their work

The designers claim in their lawsuit that Shein’s “design ‘algorithm’ could not work without generating the kinds of exact copies that can greatly damage an independent designer’s career—especially because Shein’s AI is smart enough to misappropriate pieces with commercial potential.”

Spain doles out rural 5G backhaul funds

The Spanish government has distributed €448 million between a group of telcos to help cover the cost of upgrading isolated 5G base stations with fibre backhaul. Spain’s UNICO 5G Networks Fibre Backhaul programme identified more than 8,000 sites deployed in locations.

Apple iPhone from 2007 sells for $190,000 at auction

Usually iPhones plummet in value as soon as you leave the shop. But there are some special cases, as seen at an auction in the US, where a first edition, unopened 4GB model sold for $190,372.80 (£145,416). Not many of these were made at the time, leading the model to be considered the "Holy Grail" by iPhone collectors.
