India shipped 161 million smartphones in the year 2021, up by 7 % year over year, said IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. Average selling prices (ASPs) peaked at US$190, growing by 15% annually. IDC expects ASPs in 2022 to be high due to the rising cost of components and higher share of 5G smartphones.

The US operator’s Green Bond Impact Report shows that the funds raised have been entirely spent on virtual power purchase agreements, driving Verizon towards its goal of net zero carbon emissions.
