Massoud Hassani grew up on the edge of a windy desert in Afghanistan. He says that as a child his playing field was ridden with land mines and explosives, making it extremely dangerous and unsafe. It was this that inspired him to create the “[Mine Kafon](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/massoudhassani/mine-kafon)”.

 

The “Mine Kafon” technology has been specifically designed to detonate explosives. The €40 device is made from bamboo and operates on wind power, making it an affordable and efficient solution for making ex-war grounds safe again.

 

Hassani’s innovative technology truly helps the people of Afghanistan to survey the danger in their own environment.
