Ilex is proud to announce its sponsorship of Whyke United’s under 9s football team. Ilex has provided waterproof coats for all the squad so that they can continue to train and play as the wintry weather worsens.
Whyke United is a football club based in Chichester, West Sussex, that was established in 1972. Its aim is to play competitive football whilst having fun, playing fairly and improving the players skills. It has teams that range from under 7s to adults so is a great way to get children involved in team sports at an early age and foster a love of sports that will hopefully last a lifetime.
Ilex is committed to supporting local charities and community organisations. Chichester, West Sussex, where Ilex is based, has plenty of worthy causes and you can read earlier posts about some of the local organisations we have supported before here.
As we grow and expand as a business we would love to continue to support youth sports in more ways. Inspired by the McDonalds Grassroots Football programme we have big plans. Everyone knows the value of physical exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle and support good mental health. We may be starting with coats so that children can continue to play in the cold and wet, but our sights are set on bigger involvements with the club.
We hope this is the start of a fruitful partnership that inspires more children to get involved in sports to lead happier and healthier lives.
