When deciding my next steps after college, the choice was simple for me. I wanted experience, responsibility and to gain a full understanding of the PR industry that could only be achieved first-hand.
Since starting at Ilex Content Strategies as an apprentice nearly a year ago, I have progressed significantly and gained so many skills fundamental to working in the industry, such as pitching, networking and client management.
By immersing myself in a working environment instead of just the textbooks, I now have a wealth of professional experience. I feel comfortable handling complex client enquiries, meetings and presentations; all things that seemed daunting at first. As an apprentice with the #PRCA, I also receive mentoring and training so I am supported every step of the way.
